Through social media and online galleries, photographs are posted and consumed at an astonishing rate. In the digital era they can encapsulate a moment and travel round the world or end up in the trash. The ability to capture anything at anytime has made photography more popular than ever but also more disposable.
The images in this series, taken and retouched with an iPhone, document everyday possessions that we no longer value. Memories are left at the front door and in the side alley like our ubiquitous photographs in the recycle bin.
Where once our pictures and possessions had emotional value because of their scarcity & cost, they are now deleted & replaced at the click of a button without a second thought.
