Caption: The Blue City Jodhpur is located in the desert Rajasthan region of India. The old city is oriented around the fort/palace on a hill. At some point in time, the story says the residing king ordered the people to paint all of the walls facing the palace blue so that when he looked out his window, it would appear there was a body of water below. Other stories say that the colors are according to Caste.
