Caption: Oedolgae Rock Legend has it that a woman committed suicide fearing her husband had been lost at sea. Soon after, her husband's body washed ashore at the very spot she threw herself into the ocean. The pillar itself is the embodiment of the woman waiting for her husband while the base of the rock is symbolic of her husband’s body.
