Visiting Assisi is like living inside a nativity scene. The air you breathe is of absolute peace. The wonderful basilica of S.Francesco, hit by a terrible earthquake years ago, is still there, majestic, and is being cuddled by wonderful restorers who are taking it, slowly, to its original beauty
