Caption: I began my Digital Day in the Life in the City of Cork, and made my way to the countryside quickly after breakfast. With no shortage of amazing scenery, driving through Ireland is one of the most rewarding ways to travel.

Caption: Blarney Castle and Gardens My first stop was Blarney Castle, home of the famed “Blarney Stone”
Caption: The history of “Kissing the Blarney Stone” is surrounded by myths and legends, and was a highlight of traveling through the area. For those who accomplish the task, it is best known for giving one the “gift of gab” and the “ability to deceive without offending.” Located in the battlements of the castle tower, it is an adventure in its own right.

Caption: Longueville House My final destination for my Digital Day in the Life, and easily one of my favorite places in Ireland.
Caption: Longueville House is a centuries old family owned estate turned hotel, orchard, and farm. Set in a beautiful part of the Irish countryside, it was the embodiment of everything I imagined Ireland to be, down to the people there.
With an apple orchard on the property, Longueville is known for its apple cider and brandy which can be found across the country and also internationally. And it is AMAZING.

Caption: You’re in for a treat here Upon walking in I was warmly greeted. As I made my was into the great room I was amazed by the local leg of lamb slowly cooking in front of the fire and couldn’t be more excited for the night’s dinner.

Caption: Taking a stroll through the grounds, it never ceased to amaze me that they grow the majority of the food for the restaurant on the property. With a small number of guests, this place is as relaxing as can be.
