Caption: As we left Nederland in search of adventure we came upon the tiny town of Rollinsville, Co.
The sun was setting and in the distance we could see a snow storm blowing in. Already cold because our heater in the van is broken, we couldn't resist the call of the pass and so we headed towards the gray clouds.

Caption: The further we drove, the more remote everything became. We sat in the front seats staring out the windshield, watching snow flakes crash into the glass and we wondered aloud at what it must be like to live in such a silent place.

Caption: We reached a point where the snow on the road was getting deeper and more and more snow was falling. Because we didn't want to be stuck in a place where we had only seen one other car in the hour we were out there, we decided to turn around.
Unfortunately when attempting to turn around in the road, we went off the edge and into a snow drift where we were immediately stuck in about two feet of snow.
