Innsbruck
Caption: Nestled in the Austrian alps, this capital of Tyrol is a colorful, vibrant and picturesque city. I’ve been to Innsbruck 22 years ago. It was my first time in Europe. It was a one day stay on our way to Bavaria. I vaguely remembered that day except that we visited the Goldenes Dachl, its iconic landmark and learned the history about it. This time around, we stayed for four days as our base city to travel to other cities in Austria and Germany. It was a more immersive experience this time, learned more about the city, soaked in all the sights and appreciated my interactions with people. This is Innsbruck through my eyes. The city’s most famous landmark located in the Altstadt (Old Town). Circa 1500. The loggia was commissioned by Emperor Maximilian 1 to mark his wedding to Bianca Maria Sforza.

Caption: The city tower is a Gothic structure standing 150 feet. For a small fee, one can climb the 150 step spiral staircase up to the viewing deck which provides an amazing 360-degree view of the city and the Nordkette Mountain Range. The following photos were taken from the tower.
