Caption: Portofino is a small community with 416 inhabitants east of Genoa in Liguria. It is an Italian picture-book fishing village and attracted in the 1950s Hollywood stars like Humphrey Bogart, Frank Sinatra or Liz Taylor. Even today Italian uber rich own villas and apartments with ocean views. Locals hardly exist anymore in this Italian illusion.

Caption: The secluded San Fruttuoso Monastery is located in the middle of the Portofino Natural Park. It was founded in the 8th century by the Bishop of Tarragona. He had fled Spain from the Saracens with the precious relics of the martyr Fructuosus. Over the years, the monastery has been expanded again and again. For example, the side facing dates back to 1934, while the cloister was built in the 11th century and the upper floor in the 13th century. Today, around 20 people still live in this remote place throughout the year.
