Picture
Caption: I've decided to give Steller the jump on my recent Iceland shots. I'll be including some field notes and settings too. :)

Caption: I shot this image on a day that I wanted to be very conscious of my composition. I was looking for interesting lines and liked the iceberg that almost exactly mirrors the mountain. I also strategically composed two smaller icebergs in the foreground to lead the eye. Despite the color of the water and sky I think I came back with a decent image.

Caption: Animal Portraiture Moving animals can be tricky. I use a single focus point trained on the eye and an aperture around f2.8 - f4. Try and keep your shutter speed above 1/400 for a crisp shot.

Caption: Shutter Speed A shutter speed around 1/3 - 1/2 second creates the feeling of movement on fast moving water.
