The peninsula, on the south coast of Peru, is a protected area because of the many marine animals and birds that live there. Spreading over an area of more than 200,000 hectares, you can encounter pink flamingos, pelicans and sea lions, but it is also a place where you can see the impressive contrast between the pristine ocean and arid desert.
