Caption: In November 2019 during a backpacking trip in Havasupi Indian reaervation, a snow storm reached the area and caused a flash flood. Falls turned chocolate colored, campground got flooded, and many lost their tents and belongings. The local tribe was amazing in their rescue efforts and shared their village with us until the snow had melted in the Pass enough for us to be able to hike out and leave. I will always be grateful for this experience of kindness.
