Caption: Hastings is one of the Cinque ports in U.K., first mentioned in 1155. It derives its name from HAESTE (Hast) -wild storm , and NERING (ings) - to protect. The harbour is the main reason that Hastings has come to fame. The Stade - the shingles beach - contains Britain's biggest fleet of beach-launching fishing boats. Hastings is a paradise for photographers. It's just 1.5 hours away from London and provides excellent variety of the subjects. Hope you will enjoy the photos taken during that trip
