Caption: We left Turkey and headed west towards the Cyclades, a set of Greek islands in the Aegean Sea. The first stop was Santorini, one of the most popular islands of the bunch { also one of the most beautiful }. An ancient volcano has left amazing red & black sand beaches and white buildings
cling to the seaside cliffs.

Caption: Naxos, is the largest out of the Cyclades but a much quieter island. Known for its abundance of beautiful long beaches and quiet coves. There are also a number of ruins, a medieval town with a Venetian castle, plus
many small villages to explore.

Apeiranthos
Caption: Apeiranthos is a village in the mountains of Naxos. Marble lined stairs and walkways lead through
the maze like streets. Low tunnels, archways and worn structures show their age & beauty. Most of the streets were empty, but every once in a while you would hear a child laughing,
catch a glimpse of one running by
or see an old villager having a rest
outside their home. It is truly
a village locked in time.
