Caption: It always surprises me how Italy can reward you with beautiful landscapes and spots not so far from where you live. Quite often you can visit a place and get back home in the span of a few hours.
Last weekend I paid a short visit to the Gran Sasso National Park with some friends of mine. It was a cold day, yet the snow had mostly melted away and roads were accessible.
With so little time at out disposal we managed to enjoy the majesty of these places, enough to plan another visit.
