Caption: Glen Keen Farm is one of the oldest sheep farms in Ireland. The farm is over 1400 acres in size, but the common area makes it over 5500 acres - larger than some national parks. The Sheafrey and Mweelrea Mountains looming in the background make this one of the most picturesque areas in all of Ireland.
Because of its unique habitats, wildlife, and sheer beauty, Europe has designated Glen Keen as a special area of conservation.

Caption: When it’s cold in Ireland, it chills you to the bone. I had no idea turf taken from the bog was burned for heat. In fact, some areas still use this age old method of warming their homes. We had a chance to try our hand at it, and I can tell you from experience, it’s hard work! Cutting Demonstration
