Caption: Gardens of Versailles occupy part of what was once the Domaine royal de Versailles, the royal domain in fact the palace of Versailles. Located west of the palace, the gardens cover an area of 800 hectares of land, mostly covered with French gardens. Behind a belt of trees, the gardens are surrounded by the urban areas of the village of Versailles and that of Le Chesnay, as well as from the arboretum of Chèvreloup and plains of Versailles and by Satory forest.
