Caption: The motivation to shoot comes from the reactions of those who view my work and the joy I get out of highlighting some of the most spectacular but sometimes missed places to visit.
If you would have told me two years ago I'd become obsessed with visiting beaches, piers, windmills, waterfalls or National Trust locations I would have called you mad but it's a fact, I love getting out there finding these gems tucked away all over. So this weekend I headed to Somerset.

Caption: Burrow Mump.... ....is a hill and historic site overlooking Southlake Moor in the village of Burrowbridge .The current ruined church on top of the hill was built in 1793. The land and ruin were donated to the National Trust in 1946 as a war memorial. Beautiful though.

Caption: Kilve Beach... ... is an area of Special Scientific Interest. Along this coast the cliffs are layered with compressed strata of oil-bearing shale and blue, yellow and brown lias embedded with fossils. A sunset would be amazing here... Next time then...

Caption: Glastonbury Tor This landmark offers magnificent views of the Somerset.
Steeped in history and legend, excavations at the top of the Tor have revealed the plans of two churches, of which only a 15th-century tower remains.
Glastonbury Tor also has a grisly past. Richard Whiting was executed here in 1549
The Tor is known as being one of the most spiritual sites in the UK.

Caption: Burnham On Sea Lighthouse The low wooden pile lighthouse is 36 feet high with the light being at 23 feet and was built by Joseph Nelson in 1832.
It stands on nine wooden piers and The Low lighthouse is one of three lighthouses but the only one which is still active.

Caption: A fitting farewell... My final destination was to be Clevedon Pier were I was greeted by a sunset like I have never seen before, the colours were amazing as you can see, was a lovely send off before heading back East to my home near Diss.
