Caption: Justin and I rented bikes, which presents several challenges. One of them was a bike that had mechanical issues for me. We spent the better half of our first ride day having a new crank set installed. Once the bike was up and running we took Passo Foscagno on. Some highlights included horses on the summit that Justin let me hang out with as long as I wanted to. So patient. There were also goats to meet.

Caption: My legs were exhausted from the previous day's ride on the Stelvio. Still, I was so excited to ride the Gavia. Known for its steep grade and breath taking views I knew I was in for a memorable ride.
It was extremely cold on the summit.
I would love to return with a mountain bike. There was some extremely tempting single track on the summit.

Caption: Our riding wrapped up with a ride around Lago Cancano. The ride to the lakes was steep and had lots of gorgeous switchbacks. The church bells from the valley below rang loudly as we were climbing.
The pass is an old salt and wine trade route from centuries ago.
The lakes pristine glacier water was an incredible hue of blue.
