Caption: 1. DRAW A FLIP-BOOK
Start drawing at the back of your flip-book and move forward so you can see the previous drawing below. Make your animation as abstract or representational as you want. Use the flip-book as an opportunity to explore animation.

Caption: 2. SET UP YOUR SCENE
Add some set dressing and use your phone to compose the shot you'll use for your Vine. Lock down your shot using a tripod or something similar and light your set with whatever you have on hand.

Caption: 3. ADD AUDIO (optional)
If you want to try stitching sounds together in Vine, use a video or sound editing program to isolate 1-3 frames of audio and loop the playback while shooting a frame. Advance the looped section with each new frame you shoot.

Caption: 4. SHOOT THE VINE
Shoot your Vine frame by frame by tapping the screen quickly. Try to keep the flip-book 'registered' as you flip the pages so it doesn't move around. Use the 'Edit' screen in Vine to preview your work as you shoot and correct mistakes.

Caption: 5. PUBLISH YOUR VINE
Publish your Vine and share it on other social networks to show off your hard work! Think about your Vine and what you plan to do differently next time.
