Caption: HELLO! We keep hearing about how much humans are longing for spring - and us hounds are ready for brighter days and sunny vibes too. We’re ready for longer walks and the return of evening walks (soon, we hope…). And we are definitely ready to say goodbye to soggy bellies and frozen paws. February was a rainy month. So much rain. And three storms rolled in: first Ciara, with wind and rain, then Dennis, with more wind and more rain, and then, last weekend, Storm Jorge arrived with… wind and rain. But we still went out, we still searched out our sniffs, and we even found some sunshine. Harris + Bracken +

Caption: It’s something we don’t usually talk about here, but I can get really anxious on local walks where I know I’m going to meet lots of dogs. This can be a real struggle. I don’t feel this way when we head down the coast for our big nature walks, or anywhere else really. It’s a local walks thing. So sometimes when you see me here, standing on things, I’m really having a moment, a ‘time out’. Time to settle and survey what’s going on around me. Like here, in these next photos. Although Mum was also enjoying this light.

Caption: These photos are from last weekend. Storm Jorge was just gathering pace on Saturday as we walked at Gullane Point, although it would be a few hours before the rain hit. But it was really windy. In these photos, I’m considering how maybe it isn’t always a good idea to stand on rocks while it’s blowing a *hoolie. *hoolie: a Scots word for strong winds that might blow small hounds off rocks.

Caption: We don’t usually do this on our stories here, but we share a lot of videos on Instagram stories - both from our big weekend walks and also from the wee daily moments. So we thought we’d share a few videos from Instagram stories here - ‘behind the scenes’ if you like. The first few are from our (seriously windy) coastal walks. Cue shaky iPhone footage. (These walks are too windy for a gimbal!) Then, I do a bit of driving (#drivingwithharris) and we wrap up with some snoring. You’ll need your sound on for these!
