Favorite discovery: proof of Hawking Radiation
Picture
Caption: "I think the greatest scientific achievement was the proving of Stephen Hawking’s idea that there is a such thing as Hawking Radiation where black holes can
decrease in size and disappear over time as a result of the radiation. They were able to create a miniature black hole in a lab and discover that this happens." Junior Ruoyun Zheng

"Today, microbial fuel cells are used to produce electricity while cleaning wastewater. This extremely tiny device has the potential of doing even more amazing things and is our stepping stone in finding new sources of fuel and energy. With my interest in medicine I would investigate how they can help power implantable devices in different parts of the body."
