Caption: EMBLETON BAY a coastal walk
Picture
Caption: I’ve been meaning to share this story for a while as it’s a throwback to a walk we did early last year, when we spent a few days in the Scottish Borders and Northumberland. This was on our second day, when we decided to have a walk at Embleton Bay. We’ve been here a few times before, both in winter and summer, and it’s a really beautiful long sandy beach - a great place for Harris and Bracken to sniff and explore.

Picture of Dunstanburgh Castle
Picture
Caption: Dunstanburgh Castle clearly adds to the beauty and drama of this walk. The castle dates back to the 14th century and the ruins are now in the care of English Heritage. You can visit, as we did a few years back on a summer trip to Northumberland, but on this walk we were simply enjoying the views. The structure you can see here is called Lilburn Tower, and it looks out towards Bamburgh Castle in the distance.
