Caption: We spent 10 days on safari in Kenya - 5 days at the Borana Conservancy (Lewa Downs) and 5 days at Olare Orok Conservancy (Masai Mara). Elephant hunting was banned in 1973, as was the ivory trade. Kenya’s recent relaxation of its shoot to kill policy (see a poacher, shoot a poacher) means that poaching is slowly being reduced. Rangers patrol both these conservancies
