Caption: WILLINGLY UNPREPARED I had heard very much of the beautiful blue lake known as Temple Crag up in the Eastern Sierras.
So one night I decided to get in my car and drive away.
6 hours later.
I had arrived to the start of the trail.
I had ran into an elderly man who had just finished the hike.
"How did it go?" I asked him.
"Oh my god, beautiful. You have to make it all the way to the top, it's going to take you roughly about 3 hours. "
He answered.

Caption: I sat down. And let my mind run free.
I had never been to a place that was so peacefully quiet.
I could hear my thoughts clearly for the first time in a long time.
My mind floated with thoughts of the person I wish to become and the mysteries that life holds in store for us.
The sun was starting to set making it my queu to head back down the mountain onto flat ground.
Caption: As I started to head back down I had noticed I was out of water. Dehydrated with no water and a scorching hot sun I wasn't sure how the trip back down would turn out.
About half way down I started to feel a bit dizzy.
My mouth starting to dry and no saliva to swallow.
My vision started to get blurry.
My legs started to shake and feel weak.
Not eating and drinking enough water started to take a toll on my body. But more than that I stared to get worried that I would pass out before I would make it all the way down.

Caption: Dragging my feet for about 3 more miles with distorted vision and a dry mouth I had gratefully made it back to the floor. I walked up to my car with great relief and a clear mind.
