Caption: Crow Fair The Crow Fair Celebration is the largest Native American event in Montana, and one of the biggest powwows in the country. Held each year in Crow Agency, Montana during the third weekend in August by The Apsáalooke people of the Crow Indian Reservation just south of Hardin.
Also known as the “Tipi Capital of the world”, Crow Fair begins on the third Thursday in August and attracts more than 50,000 spectators and participants from the around the world. There can be as many as 1,500 teepees set up on the grounds, and daily rodeo, parade, and pow wow will be sure to keep you entertained.

Caption: THE PARADE Every day beginning at 10am there is a parade that extends through camp. This is an opportunity for the Apsálooke People to proudly show off their bead work and other regalia that make this event so colorful. There are a number of different contest categories from elk tooth dresses to old time saddle to warbonnet and also many more.

Caption: The POWWOW Throughout the weekend traditional dance competitions are being held in the arbor and it’s not something you want to miss. Grand Entry begins at 7pm on Friday, 1pm and 7pm on Saturday, and again at 1pm on Sunday.
