Caption: Last year we spent a magical week on the Ionian island of Corfu
Caption: We only spent a couple of nights in Corfu Town ( to embark & disembark from a small cruise to Dubrovnik) but found the town interesting, well serviced and quite charming

Caption: Konstantinopolous Hotel Chosen purely for its port side location this is like stepping back in time and staying in YiaYias back room. In saying that it was cheap and functional and the owners even took care of some lost luggage for us whilst we were cruising
Caption: Corfu town is very pretty. Bursting with color - pinks and yellows and green and white. Very leafy and so much history.
There is a gorgeous Venetian citadel, a massive fort and a labyrinth of cobblestoned streets and laneways as well as a very beautiful tree lined esplanade surrounded by cafes.

Caption: We spent the rest of the time in the gorgeous beach town of Paleokastritsa, which is actually a series of coves and beaches at the end of a promontory.
The weather was perfect, the food was fantastic and the buzz of the bees and the smell of the flowers and the taste of the honey will be forever etched in our memories
