Caption: ON A SATURDAY, in the blistering heat, it's no wonder the boardwalk was packed. But I was less concerned with the crowds and more with the candy-colored skyline.
I couldn't help but be reminded of entire summer days spent at amusement parks as a kid, the coasters and sugar giving me a double high.

Caption: The Cyclone was definitely a childhood relic for me: tall, white, and rickety - and packing more of a punch than you'd expect. I came away buzzing.
Caption: THE LIGHT FADED. . . but not so for my energy. I was still wide-eyed, strolling between rides and concession stands.
Coney is almost like Manhattan, only the madness has a more saturated palette, a higher decibel level. (Oh, can kids scream...)
