1/3 cup raw cocoa powder
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
120 ml apple sauce
175 ml agave nectar
100ml coconut oil
10 ml vanilla extract
125 ml unsweetened pomegranate juice** (room temperature)
5ml lemon juice
200ml chocolate ganache
1/3 cup fresh pomegranate seeds

**I was hoping that the pomegranate flavor in the cake would be more pomegranaty. It's there, but very subtle.
Since pomegranate juice is rather expensive, feel free to substitute with warm water and double the lemon juice. Just add more fresh pomegranate to decorate.
