Caption: Beginning a to create a garden at 1400' in an area bleak but named already as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty was a pretty daunting challenge.I have made mistakes but equally have learnt from them to create my haven. I grow flowers for my home, salads, potatoes, some veg, herbs, strawberries raspberries, blackcurrants , blueberries, and rhubarb. My bulb beds and herbaceous borders and trees add to my joy.
