Sir Lieutenant Henry Valentine Canopy, the collector and magistrate of the Malabar District in British India, was first installed in 1846 by gunmen. That's why the name of the place is called Conolly Plot. Located on the banks of Chaliyar River at Aruvakode, it is located at 2.31 hectares.
