Caption: When I walked over Magdalene Bridge it felt like and altogether different part of the city away from the main university colleges. This street had some great independent stores and just across the traffic lights was the Museum of Cambridge which presents the lives of the people of Cambridge and it’s surrounding area.

Caption: Secondly there is a house with a collection of modern art. The house belonged to Jim and Helen Efe. Jim was a curator at the Tate. Thanks to his friendships with artists and other like-minded people he amassed a great collection of art including works by Joan Miró, Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, Ben and Winifred Nicholson, Constantin Brancusi and my personal favourite Alfred Wallis

Caption: This is the smallest church in Cambridge and it is simply charming. Originally built in the eleventh century you can still traces of its Saxon history in the two carved doorways and the stone front, decorated with four mermen!

Caption: Just outside the city centre is Mill Road, about a mile in length, which houses some super chic restaurants alongside noodle bars. There are plenty of cafes and independent shops too. And the very curious David Parr House containing a secret world of an Arts and Crafts Worker.
