Caption: Words can not begin to describe the range of emotions I felt in Cambodia. It was incredible to see the beautiful ruins, so perfectly fallen and taken over by nature. They looked like giant sets painstakingly assembled for movies - too perfect to be real. I was overcome with sadness at a Buddhist temple which was built on the site of one of the largest killing fields. Stupas hold the ashes of those murdered by their own government- stacks of skulls piled high behind sheets of glass. Without words and in shock we listened to a first-hand story of survival through such a dark time.

Caption: As I listened to the story I felt an overwhelming sadness. In my mind I couldn't help but compare the shiny childhood I was fortunate to have. Looking at people my age, knowing that their childhood was ripped away left me with the tremendous guilt and sorrow words can not describe. The country is recovering but the remnants of war will always be there. There are estimates of between 4 to 6 million mines and unexploded ordnance still left behind. Corruption still exists but people are moving forward. There is hope. The following is a collection of photos taken in and around Siem Reap in no particular order.
