Countless steps in a climb that took me back in time. And once at the top, finally, here it is: #Bologna, the elegant and smiling lady.

Bologna is also an important travel hub and hosts prestigious cultural institutions; for these reasons, it was "European Capital of Culture" in 2000 and "City of Music" by UNESCO in 2006.

What most strikes me, living here, is that its centuries of history lavishly flow in the streets, and you can see it in its colors and in the mix of people that walk around.

Caption: This is what happens in the Cineteca of #Bologna dedicated to the study and research on cinema and photography. It’s an extraordinary archive with over 40.000 volumes, 1.100 Italian and foreign magazines since the silent era to the present day, 18.000 audiovisual, 200.000 film posters, over 1.500.000 photos.

Caption: These days this huge archive becomes alive just within the city: classics that come back to life thanks to the latest restoration, rare films from the worldwide archives to be seen outdoors, in a beautiful square. The city itself becomes a container for the art and at the same time gives it new life for the whole world to see.
