Caption: Black’s Beach is considered one of the best premiere surf spots in San Diego. In the winter, west swells push deep out of the scripps underwater canyon creating huge peaks for surfers to enjoy. Pictured here, a rarity, Santa Ana Winds shape perfectly groomed offshore evening surf. These conditions happen only a couple of times a year. Mostly in October.
