Caption: Behind the statue are the Government Buildings. They looked a bit out of place, so I did some digging. Abandoned now, these buildings were erected in the early 1900s and became a key player in establishing Edwardian Imperial Baroque as the architectural style for all government buildings in NZ during that time. 💡
