Caption: Camasunary is a bay on the Strathaird Peninsula of the Isle of Skye, Scotland. Camasunary is the Scots form of the Gaelic name Camas Fhionnairigh, and means "Bay of the White Shieling.”

Caption: Our walk to Camasunary began mid afternoon as we wanted to catch the sunset on our way over. The walk is fairly easy by Scotland standards and begins at Kilmarie in the dedicated roadside Car Park.

Caption: Once down at the beach, and with the sun setting, the sparse white buildings began to catch the golden sunlight and the whole place felt pretty magical. The only way to Camasunary is by foot or by boat, and it certainly feels unspoiled and isolated.

Caption: The sun was disappearing behind the Cuillins to the west now, so it was time to start heading back over the pass and on to the parked car.

Caption: On our way back over, the blue hour was one of the lightest and cleanest I’ve ever seen, and it made for some great images set against the lochs and ridges.
