Picture of Curitiba
Caption: Located in Curitiba (Paraná, Brazil) the Barigui Park was created in 1972 with the intention to contain the flooding and preserve the native forrests of the Barigui River that was dammed to form a large lake inside the park and ended up giving its name.
This is one of the largest parks in Curitiba with more than 1.4 million square meters and it is the most visited mainly because of the good infrastructure for walking, jogging and biking as well as numerous areas for picnic and the traditional brazilian barbecue.
This starts my series about parks photographed on Infrared.
