Caption: When Peterpans Travel came knocking on my door to talk about backpacking I had to admit to being a little apprehensive.
I was a late bloomer to traveling and, as a result, I've never done any backpacking. I skipped straight to hotels. Haha
However I decided to give it a go and see why backpacking is so prolific in Australia. πβοΈπ¦πΊ

Caption: The trip started at Uluru with a base walk and an incredible sunset with champagne. So far not much different to the many other tours I've experienced in Uluru.
This was the first "Travel Freedom" product I would be trying, a 3 day "Mulgas Adventure Tour" starting in Uluru and ending in Alice Springs.

Caption: Day two (previous five photos) started with sunrise over the rock and a walk through Kata-Tjuta. Again, not much different to how 5 star guests experience this amazing destination.
Despite sleeping in a swag and enjoying the experience with 20 other young travelers I was still capturing the essence and beauty of one of my favorite destinations.

On the way to our next stop, King's Creek Station, our amazing guide Chris pulled over to grab a snack.
Witchetty grubs were a very important part of indigenous diet out here and apparently they taste kind of eggy with a hint of nuts. π = π³π©

The following day I was booked on a West MacDonnell ranges tour with Emu Run Experiences and accomodation at Haven Backpacker Resort.
