Caption: The Alamosa Search and Rescue Team is made up of volunteers. They serve the Sangre de Cristo region which is home to 10 of the CO 14ers. I was lucky to connect with the team while working in Crestone, CO (a small town at the foot of these mountains) to photograph them on a training day at Pueblo Reservoir. They were training to use STEP techniques which are for advanced helicopter landings in unique terrain and situations. Another thank you to Cañon Helitack for letting us ride along! All of the work they do together is incredible, so thank them 🫶🏻👏
