Caption: Aberdeen Aberdeen is famous for being the Granite City but just behind it's rather grey exterior there are some beautiful woodland walks and wooded parks that are worth visiting. These follow photos were taken during my last visit to Aberdeen in November but the ever changing forest environment is beautiful to visit year round. If you visit listen out for the Capercaillie, one of Scotlands most elusive ground birds, that unfortunately is on the verge of extinction for the second time in the UK after being reintroduced to Scotland in the 18th century from breeding pairs brought over from Sweden.
