Caption: I am not a professional photographer. There, I said it.
But I do enjoy spending my free time doing photography.
I am self-taught, everything I do is by experiencing with the camera, not by studying.
Is it good or bad? I don't care!
😜

The first photo I took, was the one you're about to see next.
This is at about 9:12am inside the St Michael's Cathedral, in the center of the city.
I live in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
As you are about to see, the sun was coming in through the small windows on the high wall and the effect was magical.
If one can say "magic" about a christian church 😎.

As I was trying to get some more interior shots, I had an interesting experience with an elderly woman who came there to pray. But everything started before I went inside. Here's the story... get ready for some scrolling ☺️
----------
Because it was the last day of February 2017 and because it was nice weather out, yesterday I went out to photograph the city of Cluj Napoca, Romania, where I live.⠀
⠀
I had my camera in hand and was preparing to enter the Holy Trinity Church, across the street from Casa TIFF. That's when he saw me. Or I saw him first, I do not know.⠀
⠀
He was in front of the church, on the sidewalk and selling snowdrops. He recognized me, greeted me respectfully, asking how was the "lady" doing. And how's the little one (because we met on the street, when we were with our Hannah)?⠀
⠀
I said that everyone is well and asked him if he's been going to school, as he had promised. I find out that yes, he is attending the afternoon classes, using his mornings to sell snowdrops or working at a nearby bar, helping "with stuff". ⠀
⠀
I wanted to give 10 lei to buy a good sandwich. He refused. Said he is no longer begging. But he gives me something, "take a bunch of snowdrops, for your wife, it's Marxh 1st tomorrow!".⠀
⠀
I take the snowdrops and got inside the church. It was nobody there. I put on the snowdrops on the seat in front of me, but they looked too good not to take a phito of them. THIS photo.⠀
⠀
Then an older lady entered the church. She barely moved, with two crutches.⠀
⠀
She passed behind my bench, entered and sat in silence. She was crying softly, her head bowed in the chest, but I figured it was crying what she did there only after several other shots fired in the church, without any reaction from the woman, who seemed to not hear the noise of the shutter of the camera, rather noisy in the silence of the church.⠀
⠀
Before leaving, I approached the lady, I gave her the snowdrops and I wished her a sunny spring. She hugged me, with tears in her eyes and said:⠀
⠀
"I do not know if I get through the spring, but today surely is one to smile for!" ⠀
⠀
I left quickly because my emotions got a hold of me.⠀
⠀
She smelled of sadness, tears and hospital. I remembered my mother and how she went from us, fast forward, after a short but heavy suffering.⠀
⠀
What remains to be done? ⠀
⠀
Let's be careful about #PeopleAmongUs and give today snowdrops, charms and smiles to all the ladies.

Caption: So after grabbing breakfast, I went back to the church, because I wanted to get some photos of the people coming in and also of the light coming through the huge stained glass windows.
And here they are ➡️

Enters Livada Restaurant Cluj.
I met a friend and had a great lunch here.
I had wild mushroom creme soup and duck strips with fries. He had the American Classic burger.

This is how it looks by night, reflected in the lake situated in front of it (half frozen at the time) ➡️

Street Food Festival is happening this weekend and some vendors came early, so I went to buy Kurtos Kolak (some type of cilindrical donuts to kill for): ➡️
