We took the FlixBus N32 to Malmö, Sweden, from Copenhagen, Denmark.

Caption: GETTING TO MALMÖ To get to Malmö, we crossed the Öresund Bridge across the Öresund Strait between Sweden and Denmark.
This bridge is the longest cable-stayed bridge in Europe and connects two major metropolitan areas: the Danish capital city, Copenhagen, and the Swedish city of Malmö.

the Turning Torso or the up-and-coming area around Möllevångstorget.
There are two kinds of public buses in Malmö.
The green buses and the yellow ones, the firsts are for journeys within the city, while yellow buses take care of regional journeys.

Caption: The largest square in Malmö is the Stortorget, built-in 1540.
On its east side, there is the old Town Hall of Malmö, built-in 1544–1547.
In the center of the square stands a large equestrian statue of King Karl X Gustav.

The town hall received its present, Dutch Renaissance style facade around 1860 in the wake of extensive restoration work.
It was attempted to restore the original medieval facade.
The Knut hall was designed like the Hall of Mirrors of the Versailles Palace and is used for special events and balls.
On the same floor, there is also the exclusive Bernadotte room, which is exclusively for royal and diplomatic guests.

Caption: Gamla Staden, means Old town, is a neighborhood of Malmö, situated in the Borough of Centrum.
The old town consists basically of two different parts; the district Gamla Väster with its large number of historical buildings in the west and the eastern part, which was renewed during the urban planning rehabilitation efforts in the 1960s.

Caption: Sankt Petri kyrka, Saint Peter's Church, is one of the oldest buildings in Malmö. It was built at the beginning of the 14th century in Brick Gothic style.
The tower has been altered over the years, and it got its present appearance in the 1890s.
During the Reformation the church was a spiritual center and was one of only a few churches in medieval Denmark, and it suffered damage due to iconoclasm as a consequence of the Reformation. SANKT PETRI KYRKA

Caption: The Lilla Torg is framed by beautiful old buildings and just a few steps away from Stortorget. Food has always been an important part of life on Lilla Torg, in the late 1500s, when the square was first laid out, butchers, bakers and fishmongers began using it as a marketplace.
