Caption: WHY??
Picture
Caption: The Thrust Stage (or known as open stage) is a stage which extended into the spectators seat in three sides. The thrust stage area itself is not always square but may be semi-circular or half a polygon with any number of sides. Such stages are often used to increase intimacy between actors and the audience.

Caption: At first, Teater Arena looks like the arena stage concept, but the arena stage is a stage which has a central stage area with spectators on all sides, similar to theatres in-the-round but the arena stage is usually rectangular.

Caption: Or maybe, Taman Arena at Taman Budaya Jawa Tengah uses the proscenium stage concept. But in the proscenium stage, the actor is on a raised platform in front of the audience. However, Teater Arena has no raised platform.

Caption: >> There are three sides for the spectators which means the actors must consider on how to make the audience able to see their expression clearly. (Avoiding blocking as much as possible).
>> Placing the property also should be displayed in a right way because there is always at least one side of the stage that is not occupied by the audience.
>> The actors' voices must be loud. During the rehearsal process, the director may view the show from all the various audience sections of the theatre to see how the play reads from different seats and to make sure the story is told clearly to the spectators.
