Caption: I met Martinez ("white shoes") on my first day photographing on 242nd street
I walked down the subway station and headed up Broadway
Martinez was walking down with another guy
His blue coat and white shoes caught my eye.
I approached them and Martinez right away started talking with me. He told me all about his career as a journalist and the news paper he publishes through out New York. He had a bag with him and started to pull out all these news clips and photos of himself
"Here look, that's me with Hillary Clinton... This is me with Bloomberg!"
He was very passionate about what he did and the people he got to meet.
I asked for his name and he replied "my name is white shoes, I've been wearing white shoes for 30 years now!" "And your real name?" I asked, "I'm Martinez"
"Dani" I replied, "a pleasure to meet you"

Caption: As I was heading my way up Broadway in the Bronx I was walking through a very quite and deserted area. On one side of the street was the huge nature filled, serene Van Cartland park, on the other side were small private houses and buildings. Once in awhile I would see a person running through the park or someone leaving their house and get in their car. I walked for about 1 hour and then suddenly dozens of people standing outside a building. It surprised me. Why there are so many people I asked myself. As I started to take a good look I noticed something is a bit off I approached a guy who told me that this is a open nursing home.
After getting declined by that same guy and a woman for their photograph, these two guys called my over and said "hey hey come take my photo!!"
Their names were Jerald (to the left) and -- (to the right)
