Ever hear of Virginia Beach? An underrated beach town that I now have on my return bucketlist. Last week I went to Virginia Beach and took my cat with me for the ultimate quick weekend getaway. And I mean quick. It was a spontaneous trip that left me shocked by how I have never been here before. We happened to be going there the weekend India Fest 2026 was kicking off ā "A Celebration of Eternal Love" ā hosted by AIHR (Asian Indians of Hampton Roads) right on the coast. Which was perfect since I am currently in India, so it was in a way kismet destiny. This was how our weekend went down ā š Walked the Virginia Beach First Landing State Park during sunset š¶ Woke up at sunrise for a kayak paddle - Simon loves the water hehe š Landed at India Fest 2026, got dressed in a traditional vest almost immediately, no complaints š Worked through a full plate of festival food while Simon supervised from the backpack šš Caught a full cultural dance performance on stage ā Simon watched with envy as I know he wanted to be the one dancing up there š² Visited so many amazing food spots like Love Song and Vlove Coffee Post wrap up thoughts ā its a quick flight from anywhere in the states and its worth it.
