Stormy days on the Virginia Beach Boardwalk with Simon ππββ¬ Not every beach day is sunshine and blue skies, and honestly, this one was better for it. The clouds rolled in thick and gray, the Atlantic was churning, and wave after wave crashed white against the shore while the fishing pier stretched out into the mist like it was holding its ground against the whole ocean. We walked the boardwalk with the salt air whipping past us, the hotels lined up along the shore, and the sound of the surf drowning out everything else. It felt wild and peaceful at the same time, the kind of moody, moving coastline you donβt get on a postcard day. And of course, my co-pilot Simon came along for the ride. Perched on my shoulder in his little harness, he took in the sea breeze like a seasoned sailor. When the wind picked up we ducked into one of the boardwalk shops, where he very seriously inspected a few seashells (verdict: suspicious, but acceptable π). Gray skies, rough waves, warm shop lights, and my best buddy by my side. Virginia Beach, you were perfect even on a stormy day. π
