I hadn't been to Virginia Beach in years, and this trip reminded me why so many people keep coming back. Home base for the trip was the Moxy Oceanfront, which put me right in the middle of everything. Over a few days, I explored the oceanfront, took a cocktail-making class at Waterman's Spirits. Got out on the water for a dolphin watching cruise with Rudee Tours. Discovered some great local restaurants like Waterman’s. Spent time experiencing a side of Virginia Beach I hadn't seen before. What stood out most was how much the destination has evolved. The Virginia Beach I remembered and the Virginia Beach I experienced this week are two very different places. Safe to say, I'll be back.
