: +18768456587 This was one of the most memorable experiences of the entire trip because it felt like stepping into a side of Jamaica most tourists never see. Pretty Close 1876 is a Rastafarian ital dining experience tucked into the hills near Treasure Beach. Reservations are usually required ahead of time through WhatsApp because this isn’t the kind of place where you just casually show up. The experience starts with soup before you hike through the forest to a waterfall. Then you come back meal cooked over fire beside the water. You’re surrounded by nature, hearing the river, eating food made from ingredients grown nearby, and connecting with a completely different rhythm of life. A lot of people come to Jamaica expecting resorts and jerk chicken, but this gives you a deeper look into Rastafarian culture, natural living, and the connection between food, land, and community.
