Conwy Castle is the perfect quick trip from Manchester if you want to see a real medieval castle without traveling too far. It’s about a two-hour journey, making it an easy trip to the beautiful town of Conwy. The castle was built in the 13th century by Edward I of England and is famous for its huge stone walls and eight massive towers. It’s one of the best preserved castles in Wales and even has UNESCO World Heritage status.
