You have to check out the John Rylands Library when you’re in Manchester! It literally looks like a Hogwarts-style cathedral but for books. It opened in 1900 and was built by Enriqueta Rylands in memory of her husband, the textile businessman John Rylands and holds one of the oldest known fragments of the New Testament. The huge gothic halls, stained glass, and old manuscripts make it feel like you stepped into a fantasy movie, and the best part is that it’s free to visit!
